Memorial dedication service for B-29 crew

Above: The caption reads:

"Photographs taken during the memorial dedication service to the 20 American airmen killed in the B29 Superfortress crash in 1949. The memorial was built by the local ATC from Dunoon. The stone was hauled manually up the hillside by the Cadets. It is a great credit to them for dedication and hard work. The brass plaque was presented by the Dumfries and Galloway Aviation Museum.

"A fitting tribute to the 20 young airmen killed on that fateful morning."
