The
following photos show the ceremony that took
place at Grangemouth, Stirlingshire, in October
2008 for the unveiling of RAF 58 OTU Memorial in
the town.
The names of Airmen from the different
nationalities who participated in 58 OTU are
represented on the Memorial Plaque.

Grave and Memorial to Pilot Officer
Carlyle Gray Everiss (26), RNZAF
BELOW: The grave of New Zealander PO Carlyle
Everiss who was killed at the village of Cowie
near Stirling when the Spitfire he was flying --
P9497 of 58 OTU -- crashed on 2nd October 1941.
PO Everiss lost his life while attempting to
prevent his aircraft from crashing into a
colliery and railway sidings at Cowie.
A
new memorial was erected in his honour in 2007.
He is buried at Grangemouth (Grandsable
Cemetery). His name is on Panel One, New
Zealand Memorial, at Cowie bowling club near
Stirling.
